Norway: Rolls-Royce Wins Design and Integrated Systems Package for Two OSVs
Rolls-Royce, the worldwide power frameworks organization, today reported that it has won a £15 million request, to give the plan, coordinated power and impetus frameworks and deck hardware for two seaward administration vessels for ship proprietor Island Offshore. The agreement incorporates a possibility for an extra four vessels.
Per Kristian Furø, Rolls-Royce, General Sales Manager – Offshore said: "We have worked intimately with Island Offshore in the course of the most recent decade to build up an extensive variety of cutting edge and exceptionally effective stage supply and subsea benefit vessels. This long standing relationship has brought about 40 vessels being conveyed or under development."
The most recent Rolls-Royce UT 717 CD stage supply vessels requested by Island Offshore will include a coordinated power and impetus framework fusing primary motors, controllable pitch propellers, bow and stern thrusters, deck hardware and a mechanization and control framework.
The vessels will be worked at the STX OSV yard in Brevik, Norway and will be prepared for conveyance in the last 50% of 2013.
Notwithstanding this most recent request, Island Offshore has a further three UT vessels under development to be conveyed from the Brevik yard. This incorporates two exceedingly effective LNG controlled seaward vessels.
